Ph D's must publish their announcement 1 month prior to defense date and masters students must publish their announcement 2 weeks prior to their defense date.
Licenses are terms and conditions that copyright holders sometimes apply to their work that allow for re-use in certain conditions.
To understand licenses, please read our guide on Creative Commons, Copyleft, and Other Licenses. (This is because your ETD will be printed, distributed, and sold by Pro Quest, which is a commercial company.) These licenses often stipulate that proper credit must be given to the copyright holder.
Please contact Abby Fite at [email protected] 412-383-3427 if you have any questions regarding ETDs or any general graduation questions.
For more information, please visit the Registrar's website.
As the copyright owner, you have the legal right to enforce claims against infringers.
