Students enroll in the thesis seminar during their final semester of study.
Please read through below for more information regarding thesis checklist and deadlines.
Students should feel free to pursue the topic(s) that truly interest them, although it is hoped that they will take advantage of the research specialties available in the IR Program and related departments at NYU such as History, Politics, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Middle East & Islamic Studies, Russian & Slavic Studies, French Studies, German Studies, and Portuguese & Spanish Studies.
You need to find a manageable topic – one that has not been researched excessively nor so under-researched that there is no literature available for you to build on.
The Program Director has final approval on all supervisory relationships.
Please submit the MA Thesis Supervision Form in the semester prior to enrolling in the MA Thesis Seminar to obtain the permission code for enrollment.
In addition to gold foil-stamped lettering on the spine and cover of your book, you can add your College / University’s Seal or Emblem.
We don’t yet carry them for every University, but we can have one made on request.
Topics include understanding your rights as an author, how to think strategically about your publishing choices, what you need to know about copyright, and more. This toolbar provides valuable links to the library, campus resources, RSS feeds from the library, and a Bobcat search box.
It also allows you to directly receive important information from us and, more importantly, you can directly contact us with suggestions!
