Candy and crooks shared the same dream as George and lennie. Nobody never gets to heaven, and nobody gets no land. They’re all the time talkin’ about it, but it’s jus’ in their head” But however when he finds out about candys offer to pay most of the money for the land he suddenly wants to join them.
Candy believes in the dream the most that he offers George three hundred dollars which is needed to buy the land. Crooks and Candys will to join them is very important factor in the novel because it actually makes the reader think that they will reach their dream of owning their own bit of land.
George and Lennie are the main characters of the novel and therefore, their dream is the most prominent.
It is their dream to one day, buy a farm However, when he over hears George and Lennie talking about their dream and he offers to help, he seems to believe that the dream may just come back to him as he says "But I'll be on our own place, an' I'll be let to work on our own place." So it seems as if George and Lennie are Candy's salvation.
