Read more Dear Editor: I would personally like to thank Jeremy Rifkin for his earth-shaking findings published in “A Change of Heart about Animals”. Morals determine if what we’re doing is considered the best for us or for others.
Without Rifkin’s article, I never would have realized that animals can experience pain, suffering, and affection (2). Judgment plays a huge role in morality since we are judged by our actions which then can develop into our character and in return dictate our fate.
